That is why we came up with this list of our favorite spots for an unforgettable night out, especially if all the guests are women. Get ready for our top picks for a girl’s night out! Belfiore – Polanco This restaurant is an elegant Trattoria with a relaxed atmosphere that will captivate you with its exquisite pastas. The tables have white tablecloths, a great contrast that makes you feel in Italy and ideal for a glamorous dinner. We recommend ordering their white wine and margherita pizza. It is located in Polanco, on Masaryk Avenue. La Puerta de Alcalá – Polanco La Puerta de Alcalá has become the favorite bar for many women in the last few years. It is a place to enjoy musical hits from the seventies, eighties, and nineties. Good old times provide this place with a great atmosphere, with its karaoke and live music. Perfect for a girls’ night out. Botellón – Condesa Another of our favorite places is located on Tamaulipas Street. Botellón has been, for several years, a popular meeting point for friends, as its ambiance and music are perfect for an alternative night out. It has three floors, but we recommend the top terrace for a panoramic view of the Condesa. By the way, we suggest you make reservations in advance, as the place tends to fill up. Panadería Rosetta – La Roma If you are among those who prefer a relaxed afternoon, you will find Rosetta to be the ideal place for you. The bakery has the best guava roles we have ever tasted, plus their coffee is exceptional. The restaurant is small, but it has a pleasant atmosphere and soft music so you can chat with your friends. It is located on Colima Street, in Roma Norte. Deigo & Kaito – Del Valle Finally, we want you to get out of your comfort zone and try the best Japanese restaurant in Mexico City. Deigo & Kaito is an elegant place full of exotic flavors, but it also offers fresh traditional drinks and a day full of new emotions. The place is perfect for an afternoon of catching up with your friends, plus it has an excellent atmosphere in which you will learn more about Japanese culture. The restaurant is located on Pestalozzi Street, Col. Del Valle.
The best dishes to order for delivery and pamper yourself
There comes a time when, after cooking at home all week, our body cries out for a break from washing so many dishes. Surely by this point you already know some new restaurants that deliver pizzas, coffees or paninis. This week we want to change the menu and recommend these 4 restaurants with excellent dishes that give you different options right to the door of your home. Want to enjoy the moment of rest even more? Stay at FlowSuites and have a lovely dinner delivered to your room. Pin-Tó: Thai food This restaurant is the delicious project of chef Somsri Raksamran who, together with her husband, opened this new concept inspired by Thai street food. Pin-Tó is a sea of flavors in a single bite thanks to its variety of sauces and condiments ranging from sweet to spicy. We recommend you try the spring rolls, Bangkok wings, som tum and, of course, the Pad Thai, one of the most famous stews in Thailand. Here is the link to their menu for ordering. Gruta Ehden: Lebanese food Meet what we believe to be the best Lebanese restaurant in Polanco. Gruta Ehden opened its doors in Mexico in 1976 under a family concept that follows homemade Lebanese recipes to the letter. Its menu consists of delicacies such as dry jocoque with zaatar, fried eggplant, beef shawarma, hummus and Arabic bread. Click on this link to see their menu Parnita: gourmet Mexican food Parnita recently celebrated its tenth anniversary amid a global crisis, but this did not prevent them from adapting seamlessly to the delivery system. The Acra Family restaurant has exquisite dishes such as black sheep tacos, traveler burritos with avocado, dobladas with chile pasilla or their tacos in blue tortilla or pita bread. They also sell handcrafted ciders that will go perfect with your food. See their entire menu on their Instagram page. Por Siempre: vegan tacos This taco place is the best option you’ll find in the city for people who don’t eat animal products, or for those who want to try something different. Por Siempre has become popular because its tacos have a flavor in disguise that tastes really good; the pastor is made of wheat, the suadero is made of soy and they have sides like potatoes, onions and nopales (cactus). These tacos will be delivered right to your door. See their Instagram account here
Four restaurants where we already feel confident to go for a drink
Some bars and restaurants just opened, and we cannot stop thinking about how much we want to go for a cocktail under the sun. We have a small list that we want to share with you showing our favorite places in the most urban areas of Mexico City. These places are already offering service with all the hygiene measures you need to be safe, so all you need to do is enjoy an outdoor table and order your favorite herbal drink. Here are some choices that we personally love. Fairchild Fairchild is the perfect place to enjoy tropical food and drink. Its terrace in Polanco is one of the most pleasant places to enjoy good company and try some botanical cocktails. They have seasonal drinks depending on the fruits and herbs that are available, as well as food inspired by Mexico and the world. They also feature vegan options and a musical atmosphere you won’t see anywhere else. Parnita If you like to sit and enjoy a little bit of sunshine, Parnita is the ideal place to order a good mezcal and see some life on the streets again. This restaurant serves delicacies such as creamed spinach and salads with nuts and cheese. Its atmosphere is one of the best in Colonia Roma and is filled with a relaxed vibe. We recommend you try the carajillo. San-Tō If you love oriental culture, this Japanese restaurant bar offers a variety of drinks that will change your routine. San-Tō is located in the Roma district and is a great place to try Sake, imported beers or specialty drinks like Roku Gin, Hibiki Japanese Whisky or Toki Japanese Whisky. Its concept is very similar to what we know in Mexico: fast and casual, with small meals and appealing appetizers in every part of the menu. We recommend you try the edamames, truffles, salmon and niguiris. Café Toscano Polanco This restaurant bar has a contemporary and Italian concept that made us fall in love. If you haven’t heard of it, we assure you that you won’t want to let go once you’ve tasted your first glass of wine. It is a great place to have some chilaquiles with eggs for breakfast, or finish the afternoon with a couple of friends eating a Serrano ham pizza. Its cocktail menu plays with herbal flavors, fruits and honey.

In secret dinners everything is the other way around. Candelilla 16 is a restaurant that calls itself the «anti-restaurant» because before they bring you your first dish you will hear a bell that indicates that you should cover your eyes with a mask. Only when you see absolutely nothing is when your first dish touches the table and you eat it without having any idea what is in front of you. A guide narrates the experience so that you do not feel so lost and without your sight, your smell, touch and taste sharpen so that you are much more aware of the flavors and textures that you are eating. When you finish the dish and listen to a bell again you already have permission to see the menu and discover if your senses led you correctly. Tacos al pastor, three delicious places to try them
The taco al pastor is probably one of the most famous dishes in Mexico City (and probably in the whole country). It is THE taco and if you come to visit you simply can’t leave without trying some authentic chilango tacos al pastor. It will be one of the best culinary experiences of your entire trip. And although it is a dish that makes the whole country proud, it is not a recipe that was born in Mexico like mole or chiles en nogada. The mixture of seasoning and ingredients comes from Asia and Europe. It has Turkish and Lebanese roots that have been modified to catch that unique flavor of the classic taco pastor. Pork is seasoned with achiote, the ingredient that gives it its characteristic reddish color. The recipe has been perfected with time and now each taquería has its own seasoning that is the result of variations in the marinade. Although there are not two tacos al pastor that are the same, they all have that delicious flavor that becomes unforgettable when combined with tortilla, onion, coriander and pineapple. At FlowSuites we found three establishments where you can try the most delicious tacos al pastor when you are in Mexico City. El Vilsito Car repair shop by day, taqueria by night. El Vilsito has gained international fame because it was one of the main taquerías in the Netflix documentary The Chronicles of the Taco. And its fame is well deserved, they have more than 25 years of experience and some of the most flavorful tacos in Mexico City. When the car repair shop closes its doors, the taqueria receives all the hungry diners. It is a place with bar chairs and few tables, but if you run out of place you can stand by the flaming meat in order to live the full experience. After eating some tacos al pastor, we recommend you try the gringa, a classic delight of the Vilsito. Where? On Av. Universidad and Peten, Colonia Narvarte. A 35-minute walk from FlowSuites WTC. When? Monday through Thursday: 20 to 3 hrs. / Fridays and Saturdays: 20 to 5hrs. / Sundays: 16 to 12 hrs. El Califa If eating while standing is not your thing and you prefer to see how they prepare your tacos from a table, with air conditioning, internet and valet parking service, you have to go to El Califa. It´s a taqueria that has all the flavor of good tacos, very fast service, very generous portions, delicious sauces and all the comfort of a formal restaurant. Their tacos al pastor are exquisite and you can also try practically any other you want: ribs, steak, inside pita bread, gringas, volcanes, cheese chicharrón and more. An important stop for anyone who wishes to enter the culinary universe of tacos in Mexico. Where? This is the best part, they have branches all over Mexico City: Condesa (8 minutes walk from FlowSuites Condesa), Pedregal, Bosques, La Roma, Palmas, Interlomas, Satellite, Universidad, Polanco (20 minutes walk from FlowSuites Polanco), Reforma, Santa Fe and Perisur. When? They open every day from 1 in the afternoon to 4 in the morning. Taqueria Orinoco A taqueria that emerged from the northern part of the country and later arrived in Mexico City with its delicious tacos. In a small restaurant in La Roma, the lines of people reach the sidewalk, everybody wants to try their pastor, beef and northern chicharrón tacos. Before sitting at the table or bar you have to pay at the cashier, their menu has few items so people come and go fast. We recommend the tacos al pastor and the chicharrón tacos that are a real treat. Also try the hibiscus drink (agua de Jamaica) with guava. Although the line is long, it goes by very fast because of the speed of its service, so do not be frightened by a few people waiting outside. Where? Insurgentes Sur 253, Col. Roma Norte, a15-minute walk from FlowSuites Condesa. When? They open every day from 1 in the afternoon to 4 in the morning, Friday and Saturday until 5.

Essential Tips when traveling to and from Mexico City
Mexico City, a massive city that feels like a tiny country in itself. With culture, art, history and national tradition, it has become the go-to place for international travelers. It’s easy to see why, first time travelers become frequent visitors and even, sometimes, become residents. It takes one trip to the city to fall in love with its momentum, its people and the rich culture reflected on every corner of CDMX. Getting to and from Mexico City takes a bit of planning and preparation, while smaller cities or towns are a simple come and go scenario. There are a few things you must consider and take into account before coming, so it’s a good thing we’ve got you covered with our essential tips for the best trip to this amazing City. If you are already here, they will also be of much use. 1. Weather Preparing or dressing for unpredictable weather can be tricky, during the summer months, Mexico City wakes up to cold weather that can quickly turn hot if the sky is clear, and cold again if it starts to pour in the evening. Summer months in Mexico City mean rainy season, so take your precautions and do invest in a good sturdy umbrella, and rainboots! To make sure your outfits cover the changes in temperature throughout the day, wear layers that you can easily play around with 2. Getting around the city and traffic Uber and the metro are a great option to move around, the city has scooters and eco bikes all over the place so you can take and leave them wherever you would like. Scooters are a fun way to get to your destination and they fit practically anywhere. If you are planning on using Uber, we recommend you get a SIM card at the airport so you don’t pay extra roaming charges. As for traffic, you will quickly learn that rush hour means stuck hour. Traffic can get heavy in the morning and evening, typically from 8:00 AM to around 10:00 AM and again at 6:00 PM to around 8:00 PM. We highly recommend you plan your day and transport around those times. 3. Currencies Make sure you get enough cash at the ATM so you don’t have to go back. Even though most establishments accept all cards, cash is still king in CDMX. You will go through it fast if you are exploring the city, its street food and markets. With $3,000 MXN you will very likely have more than enough, that is around $150 USD. 4. Food, museums and cultural visits Please do try the street food, you will find the tastiest and downright best Mexican food on food trucks. Also, do not miss the vast array of restaurants to try, Mexico City is filled with top tier national and international restaurants. In terms of museums, cultural and archeological sites, decide on what places you want to visit, making sure you have the times, costs and exact locations. You can also get to know different parts of the city by Turibus, the Mexican version of the red double decker London bus. 5. Travel Insurance and security Remember to always have international travel insurance, this is important no matter where you go. If something where to happen, Mexico has good health care, but it is not cheap, so your insurance will have you covered. The good news is that medicine is somewhat inexpensive. In terms of personal security, Mexico City is a safe city especially for foreigners, but we do advise to always be mindful of your surroundings, your wallets and bags. Also, be sure to check with our concierge at FlowSuites which areas are safer than others. We recommend you steer clear of local street taxis and opt for Uber, metro, bikes, buses and scooters. Avoid isolated and dark areas at night especially if you are travelling or wandering the city alone, nothing out of the ordinary when walking in a new city. If you are ready to visit the great Mexico City don’t forget to chose the best hotel: FlowSuites. We have three locations in three of the most amazing neighborhoods. Book your next visit here.
