¿Salida con las amigas? Los mejores lugares para divertirse | Are you going out with friends? These are our top picks for some fun!

There is nothing like a night full of laughter and fun with your girlfriends to get rid of unnecessary problems. There’s something magical about that female company! It is a great experience, and it allows us to get it out of our system and, at the same time, have the best experience. That is why we came up with this list of our favorite spots for an unforgettable night out, especially if all the guests are women. Get ready for our top picks for a girl’s night out! Belfiore – Polanco  This restaurant is an elegant Trattoria with a relaxed atmosphere that will captivate you with its exquisite pastas. The tables have white tablecloths, a great contrast that makes you feel in Italy and ideal for a glamorous dinner. We recommend ordering their white wine and margherita pizza. It is located in Polanco, on Masaryk Avenue. La Puerta de Alcalá – Polanco  La Puerta de Alcalá has become the favorite bar for many women in the last few years. It is a place to enjoy musical hits from the seventies, eighties, and nineties. Good old times provide this place with a great atmosphere, with its karaoke and live music. Perfect for a girls’ night out. Botellón – Condesa Another of our favorite places is located on Tamaulipas Street. Botellón has been, for several years, a popular meeting point for friends, as its ambiance and music are perfect for an alternative night out. It has three floors, but we recommend the top terrace for a panoramic view of the Condesa. By the way, we suggest you make reservations in advance, as the place tends to fill up.  Panadería Rosetta – La Roma  If you are among those who prefer a relaxed afternoon, you will find Rosetta to be the ideal place for you. The bakery has the best guava roles we have ever tasted, plus their coffee is exceptional. The restaurant is small, but it has a pleasant atmosphere and soft music so you can chat with your friends. It is located on Colima Street, in Roma Norte. Deigo & Kaito – Del Valle Finally, we want you to get out of your comfort zone and try the best Japanese restaurant in Mexico City. Deigo & Kaito is an elegant place full of exotic flavors, but it also offers fresh traditional drinks and a day full of new emotions. The place is perfect for an afternoon of catching up with your friends, plus it has an excellent atmosphere in which you will learn more about Japanese culture. The restaurant is located on Pestalozzi Street, Col. Del Valle.

Three great ideas for pampering mom in Mexico City

Tres ideas para consentir a mamá en la Ciudad de México | Three great ideas for pampering mom in Mexico City

Mothers’ Day is just around the corner, and with it comes the anxiety of not knowing how to celebrate it. We think it’s time to treat your mom to a fancy meal or take her to the best bar in your neighborhood. Remember that the best thing you can do with her is to spend time with her and have fun, instead of leaving her to take care of the kitchen again. Here are our three favorite ideas for you to go out and have a memorable day. Zesta Punta – the perfect restaurant This restaurant is the new spot in the city where chef Guy Santoro combines Spanish, French, and Mexican influences. The service is top-notch, and as soon as you arrive, you feel a friendly and pampering atmosphere. We are sure that Mexican mothers will enjoy specialties such as amuse bouche, sea bass with bean stew, spinach mousseline, or almond cake with vanilla ice cream on this special day. Zesta Punta is located at Avenida de la República 17, and its consumption per person is approximately $700. Las Brujas Bar After lunch, it may be time to walk around Colonia Roma and enjoy some outdoor activities. Street musicians and flower vendors abound, so you can buy a small bouquet of gardenias for your mom while you’re at it. Next, you can enjoy Bar Las Brujas, which is located next to Rio de Janeiro Park. The interesting fact about this bar is that it is run by women, meaning that you will feel a feminine and familiar atmosphere. The specialties offered at this bar are herbal drinks, combining flowers, herbs, and spices in your favorite cocktail. Our favorite is the yellow witch, which has yellow lemon, marigold syrup, and mezcal. The bar is located at Rio de Janeiro 56. Home Concert Your mom probably has a favorite artist or musical group that she never fails to mention. To end the day, you can adapt the living room, light a couple of candles, and put on the TV the concert she likes the most. Watching concerts at home has become a very nice dynamic since you can pour their favorite drink and comment at ease about how much you love music. Plus, this gift is quite inexpensive. You can also serve cheese or cold meats on a plate and enjoy.

Gruta Ehden: Lebanese food Meet what we believe to be the best Lebanese restaurant in Polanco. Its menu consists of delicacies such as dry jocoque with zaatar, fried eggplant, beef shawarma, hummus and Arabic bread. They also sell handcrafted ciders that will go perfect with your food. See their entire menu on their Instagram page. Por Siempre: vegan tacos This taco place is the best option you’ll find in the city for people who don’t eat animal products, or for those who want to try something different. Por Siempre has become popular because its tacos have a flavor in disguise that tastes really good; the pastor is made of wheat, the suadero is made of soy and they have sides like potatoes, onions and nopales (cactus). Tacos al pastor, three delicious places to try them

The taco al pastor is probably one of the most famous dishes in Mexico City (and probably in the whole country). It is THE taco and if you come to visit you simply can’t leave without trying some authentic chilango tacos al pastor. It will be one of the best culinary experiences of your entire trip. And although it is a dish that makes the whole country proud, it is not a recipe that was born in Mexico like mole or chiles en nogada. The mixture of seasoning and ingredients comes from Asia and Europe. It has Turkish and Lebanese roots that have been modified to catch that unique flavor of the classic taco pastor. Pork is seasoned with achiote, the ingredient that gives it its characteristic reddish color. The recipe has been perfected with time and now each taquería has its own seasoning that is the result of variations in the marinade. Although there are not two tacos al pastor that are the same, they all have that delicious flavor that becomes unforgettable when combined with tortilla, onion, coriander and pineapple. At FlowSuites we found three establishments where you can try the most delicious tacos al pastor when you are in Mexico City. El Vilsito Car repair shop by day, taqueria by night. El Vilsito has gained international fame because it was one of the main taquerías in the Netflix documentary The Chronicles of the Taco. And its fame is well deserved, they have more than 25 years of experience and some of the most flavorful tacos in Mexico City. When the car repair shop closes its doors, the taqueria receives all the hungry diners. It is a place with bar chairs and few tables, but if you run out of place you can stand by the flaming meat in order to live the full experience. After eating some tacos al pastor, we recommend you try the gringa, a classic delight of the Vilsito. Where? On Av. Universidad and Peten, Colonia Narvarte. A 35-minute walk from FlowSuites WTC. When? Monday through Thursday: 20 to 3 hrs. / Fridays and Saturdays: 20 to 5hrs. / Sundays: 16 to 12 hrs. El Califa If eating while standing is not your thing and you prefer to see how they prepare your tacos from a table, with air conditioning, internet and valet parking service, you have to go to El Califa. It´s a taqueria that has all the flavor of good tacos, very fast service, very generous portions, delicious sauces and all the comfort of a formal restaurant. Their tacos al pastor are exquisite and you can also try practically any other you want: ribs, steak, inside pita bread, gringas, volcanes, cheese chicharrón and more. An important stop for anyone who wishes to enter the culinary universe of tacos in Mexico. Where? This is the best part, they have branches all over Mexico City: Condesa (8 minutes walk from FlowSuites Condesa), Pedregal, Bosques, La Roma, Palmas, Interlomas, Satellite, Universidad, Polanco (20 minutes walk from FlowSuites Polanco), Reforma, Santa Fe and Perisur. When? They open every day from 1 in the afternoon to 4 in the morning. Taqueria Orinoco A taqueria that emerged from the northern part of the country and later arrived in Mexico City with its delicious tacos. In a small restaurant in La Roma, the lines of people reach the sidewalk, everybody wants to try their pastor, beef and northern chicharrón tacos. Before sitting at the table or bar you have to pay at the cashier, their menu has few items so people come and go fast. We recommend the tacos al pastor and the chicharrón tacos that are a real treat. Also try the hibiscus drink (agua de Jamaica) with guava. Although the line is long, it goes by very fast because of the speed of its service, so do not be frightened by a few people waiting outside. Where? Insurgentes Sur 253, Col. Roma Norte, a15-minute walk from FlowSuites Condesa. When? They open every day from 1 in the afternoon to 4 in the morning, Friday and Saturday until 5.
